How to Organize A Drive
Organizing a donation drive is a meaningful way to support the women, youth, and children at Lotus House. Whether you’re a business, school, faith-based organization, community group, or individual, your efforts help provide essential items to those we serve.
How to Get Started:
- Review our current list of ongoing urgent needs here. If you’re interested in participating in one of our seasonal drives, however, please see the attached flyer to the left that we update seasonally or view the accompanying Amazon Wishlist here.
- Choose a collection timeframe and invite your community to participate.
- Contact our team at [email protected] to register your drive, coordinate a donation drop-off date, and receive additional guidance.
- After you’ve coordinated a delivery drop-off date with our team, deliver collected donations to our newest facility, Children’s Village during Monday-Saturday 9 AM-6 PM, or contact us to discuss other arrangements.
- Address: 219 NW 14th Terrace Miami, FL 33136
- Children’s Village Front Desk Phone Number: (786) 472-7399
Every donation, big or small, helps provide comfort and dignity to individuals and families on their journey toward stability. Thank you for making a difference in our community.
What About A Gently-Used Clothing Drive?
If you’re interested in organizing a drive of gently-used clothing, those can be taken to our donation center to be sorted and organized, Lotus House Thrift. You can feel free to drop off items at our store Tuesday-Saturday 10 AM-6 PM.
- Address: 2040 NW 7th Avenue, Miami
- Lotus House Thrift Phone Number: (305) 576-4112
Through our thrift donation center, every item we receive is carefully sorted and assessed by our team. We work closely with our resource coordinators at the shelter, who identify the most immediate and specific clothing needs of our guests. Based on this, we curate personalized distributions to ensure each woman and child receives items that directly support their day-to-day needs and next steps as they transition out of the shelter. Whether that be securing clothing for work or school, or obtaining essential items to help furnish and settle into their new home.
Items that are not immediately needed are then made available through our thrift side, where they continue to serve a meaningful purpose. Proceeds from purchases directly support our shelter and help fund critical programs and services. This full-circle model allows us to maximize the impact of every donation, ensuring transparency, sustainability, and direct benefit to the community we serve.
