What is Lotus House Thrift?

Lotus House Thrift serves as the donation center, retail job-training program, and thrift store for Lotus House Women’s Shelter. We accept gently used clothing, household items, and furniture. We are always in need of women’s, men’s, & children’s clothing as well as shoes, household items, and furniture such as bed frames, mattresses, toddler beds, cribs, couches, tables, chairs, and more.

Please note we don’t accept any of the following used items: toys, used strollers, car seats, or undergarments. They must be new and in their original packaging.

Take a look at Lotus House Thrift’s website below to learn more.

How does our donation process work?

We work closely with our resource coordinators at the shelter, who identify the most immediate and specific clothing needs of our guestsBased on this, we curate personalized distributions to ensure each woman and child receives items that directly support their day-to-day needs and next steps as they transition out of the shelter. Whether that be securing clothing for work or school, or obtaining essential items to help furnish and settle into their new home.

Items that are not immediately needed at our shelter are then made available through our thrift side, where they continue to serve a meaningful purpose. Proceeds from purchases directly support our shelter and help fund critical programs and services.
